It's not much ... just a little rain puddle ... but such a welcomed sight these days.
Welcome to Simple Pleasures. Have you discovered a simple pleasure lately? Maybe something new, or something old, or something taken for granted most days? What's your simple/summertime pleasure?
P.S. Sorry for the delay. Mr. Linky is moody sometimes.

Thanks so much for stopping by and inviting me to link up. A puddle is indeed a welcome sight these days. :)
ReplyDeleteWe've had a few puddles lately, we are not as dry as some. Thank you for hosting & I'm joining this week.
ReplyDeleteSoaking in as much as we can.
ReplyDeleteLooks fun to splash in!!
ReplyDeleteHi Dayle,
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting this nice linky party.
I am not used to this type of link up, it is new for me, but got posted, just couldn't put a pic.
Your puddle looks delightful. We love seeing the rain when it comes since it is so dry and hot.
So puddles are indeed a very welcome sight!
blessings, Nellie
I hope you get some relief from heat and rain. Thank you for hosting us and allowing me to link up.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Gayle from Behind the Gate
Dayle,
ReplyDeleteRain has been avoiding our area lately. Last night we had thunder storms and rain all around us and we got a tenth of an inch...not even enough for a puddle! Sorry I'm missing Simple Pleasures this week but I'll be back next week.
~Jean
Maybe we need to trade places...we're having a rainy summer so far here in the Pacific Northwest!
ReplyDeleteI'd like to splash my feet in your little puddle, Dayle. Here, even when it rains, the aftermath is like a sauna. This is our hot time but it won't last long so I'm not going to complain too much. I already "warned" my hubs that refraining from using the air conditioning on the hottest of days is not an option. Take care. Susan
ReplyDeleteIf only I could ship some over to you, lol!!
ReplyDeleteWe have plenty to spare right now :-)
No doubt, I'll be looking for puddles myself in a couple of months!
Hope it cools down for you soon, Dayle!
blessings..Trish
Your puddle looks inviting. Actually in the NW we could do with a few less of those. :o)
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting, Dayle!
No puddles over here but we sure saw buckets of rain in Nepal. :) Have a fabulous day! Tammy
ReplyDeleteYes, those puddles are a welcome sight this year. I think it would be fun to run through them with bare feet. :)
ReplyDeleteWe haven't seen a lovely puddle here in some time. Not looking like there will be many in the near future either. Love that you were thoughtful to see the pleasure in this and captured a photo :)
ReplyDeletetoo funny.....there's no rain...not even a puddle here....Stay cool out there.....
ReplyDeleteDayle, Thanks for those encouraging words about my post. I try to be simple - but I guess there's just to many layers to simple in my scope. As to binoculars - David told me to go for an 8 x 40 - those are the numbers marked usually on the top - the 8 would be times magnified, and the 40 would be the amount of light let in - the lower the second number the darker the view. I found a Bushnell at 10 x 42 and only $32 at Walmart. SOLD! But, it's my close up reading issues that still don't make binoculars a perfect world. I am grateful for what I CAN see, though - and allow my imagination to do the rest! Thanks for hosting each week! I look forward to planning my Simple Pleasures!
ReplyDeleteJoy!
Kathy
Dayle,
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful little puddle. Truly it is!
Hoping for more.....!
Thanks for hosting, and have a wonderful week.
I would be happy to see a lovely puddle like that around these parched parts!
ReplyDeleteMy simple pleasure right now is watermelon! I'm sure enjoying this summertime fruit. Have a nice weekend! Twyla
ReplyDeleteDrip, drip, drop, little "July" showers. Hmmm...somethin'not right here. ;) We barely got rain earlier this year either in Florida but are now making up for it.
ReplyDeleteMissed your party this week. Have the White Christmas in July party going on. Come to think of it, it is a simple pleasure I am enjoying immensely but didn't want to be a rude guest by linking up my own party. ;)
I look forward to next week.
nice pic and so appropriate! cheers.
ReplyDeleteOh YES! I like this simple pleasure. I actually had the perfect simple pleasure moment on my vacation last week, but I was too "relaxing" (ha!) to post it on time.
ReplyDeleteMy mom saw on the news about the ground being so dry in Texas that it is cracking in some places. We're still praying for rain and thanking God for EVERY bit we get.
