Monday Musings ~ Celebrating Old Things in the New Year
I planned to post this last week, but life got in the way and I procrastinated. I guess it's not too late, as we are still in the early stages of January. Pardon my lazy way of blogging, but maybe you'll overlook the method and still find a message of value.
My first time visit.... so glad I saw your link at Vista Woman (Christine's).
I so enjoyed your article on celebrating old things as we begin a New Year. I'm in your space on that one... because this year I didn't want to think about goals and plans.... I felt like savoring some of my old things too! So maybe we're a little bit of 'kindred' spirit?
I'll be back...... in the meantime, here's wishing you glimpses of heaven in unexpected places...........
Wonderful article, great post, and I agree wholeheartedly!!! :)

Congratulations on a well-written column. "New" isn't ALWAYS "better", is it? Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely thoughts to start our new year.
ReplyDeleteI am loving those Old Things right there with you! Each one :)
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree with you more, Dayle. There's nothing wrong with new but more often than not there's nothing wrong with old either.
ReplyDeleteGreat article, Dayle! Thank you for sharing with us!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great one. I found myself nodding my head all the way through it. I LOVE that final part about Old Glory and the quote by John Quincy Adams.
ReplyDeleteAnd that old husband of mine is a keeper too.
And my trusty old sweat shirt.
And...
This was an excellent article...I especially like the one about the old truths!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing...
