Ah ... home at last. Whether you’ve had a hard day at work, or been on a long vacation, going home is one of life’s simple pleasures. You may dwell in an apartment, a house, a mobile home, a log cabin, a one-room cottage, or a mansion on a hill. No matter. Going home brings with it a feeling like no other. Home has a way of grounding you. It's who you are and where you belong.
What simple pleasure have you been noticing and enjoying lately? You're invited to share with us here, every Thursday. I hope you will. For complete posting guidelines, please visit the Simple Pleasures page.

Home is the precious hidey hole. No matter how much there is to do, it's still a restful place - a safe place!
ReplyDeleteLove to you,

ReplyDeleteGoing home ... yes! Indescribable - and sometimes elusive - it's that inner "pull" that feels at once, so warm, so right.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, welcome home!

ah... Home Sweet Home. Welcome home, Dayle :)
ReplyDeleteDayle, I couldn't agree more! I get a purely giddy feeling in turning in the driveway at the end of a trip.
ReplyDeleteMy father used to laugh about my mother on her first night home after a trip. She always got into bed and kind of kicked her legs back and forth saying, "I love my bed... I love my bed...I love my bed..."
Yep. Coming home might be the best simple pleasure.
In the words of Dorothy Gale, "there's no place like home."
ReplyDeleteBeing home is truly a simple pleasure.
Home is one of my favorite simple pleasures. Great post!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
There really is no place like home! And as much as I enjoy traveling, seeing new things, hanging out with relatives who live far away - the thing I long for most is coming home to my own bed and shower.
ReplyDeleteAnd the picture of your home is simply beautiful!
I completely and totally relate to this simple pleasure!
Thank you for the invitation to link up! Ahh- home. We've moved so much that we don't quite feel "home" yet. At least not as I've envisioned feeling like home. It is a simple pleasure, for sure, to return here after travels!
ReplyDeleteDayle, I love this idea of simple pleasure's. I hope to participate in this in the future. I'm all about simple pleasures.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
